  • Lead a team of pharmacy technicians to provide best-practice services to patients, carers, clients and other health care professionals.

  • This is a Grade 4 Pharmacy Technician role.  

About the Role: 

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Team Leader (Grade 4). The roles are full time, with part-time applications considered.  

  • Lead a team of 10-12 hospital pharmacy technicians. 

  • Work alongside pharmacists and other health care professionals to provide a best practice pharmacy services to our patients in a range of settings. 

  • These are new roles. You will work together with other Pharmacy Technician Team Leaders and Pharmacist Team Leaders to lead and develop our teams. 

  • You will remain an active team member in the day to day operations of the pharmacy service. You will also receive protected time to focus on developing your team. 

 

There are roles available at six of our sites: 

  • Casey Hospital, Berwick 

  • Dandenong Hospital, Dandenong 

  • Kingston Hospital, Cheltenham 

  • Monash Children’s Hospital, Clayton 

  • Monash Medical Centre, Clayton 

  • Moorabbin Hospital, Bentleigh East

About You:  

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

Technical skills/knowledge/experience (italics indicate desirable) 

  • Minimum of three years’ full time experience as a qualified pharmacy technician 

  • Skills and experience in supervision, training and mentoring 

  • Works well with peers showing flexibility and adaptability 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience 

Qualifications/registrations/licences (italics indicate desirable)  

  • Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or an equivalent relevant qualification 

  • Certificate IV in training and assessment 

  • Advanced Pharmacy Australia membership
