Monash Health Foundation is the fundraising arm of Monash Health, nurturing and encouraging philanthropic, corporate and community support, so we can provide positive experiences for the people we care for.
About the Role
Join our team as a Prospect Research & Philanthropy Analyst on an ongoing, full-time basis to work as part of the Monash Health Foundation.
In this role, you will be report into the Head of Philanthropy and work closely with the broader Foundation team, supporting major gift fundraising through high-quality coordination, research, analysis, and reporting.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening philanthropic outcomes by identifying and prioritising major donor prospects, enabling donor engagement and conversion, and ensuring strong governance and reporting practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and maintaining a strong pipeline of major donor prospects, including high net worth individuals and organisations
- Conducting detailed research and analysis to support donor engagement strategies and fundraising initiatives
- Producing timely, accurate reports to inform decision-making and fundraising strategy
- Supporting donor conversion and stewardship activities, including grant applications and engagement planning
- Maintaining high-quality records in the Foundation’s CRM (Salesforce), ensuring data integrity and robust reporting
- Supporting compliance and governance requirements, including donor agreements, reporting, and DGR obligations
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align donor interests with Monash Health strategic priorities
- Contributing to continuous improvement of systems, reporting tools, and fundraising processes
- Supporting donor-funded project tracking, financial administration, and reporting
This role is based in Clayton and may require occasional travel across Monash Health sites and offers flexible/hybrid working arrangements where appropriate.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes including:
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear insights and recommendations
- Experience in prospect research, fundraising, or the not-for-profit/philanthropy sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and data integrity
- Professionalism and discretion, with the ability to manage confidential donor information
- An undergraduate qualification in journalism, library and information studies, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
- Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience or understanding of the Australian philanthropic sector
