About the Role: 

Join our team as a Grade 2 Acute Generalist Physiotherapist, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, driving operational efficiency, supporting skill development, and building strong partnerships within Monash Health and working closely with Senior Physiotherapists and Team Leaders.

 

We have multiple roles available:

  • Part time, fixed term opportunity until 6/12/2026, 64 hours per fortnight, working across our acute sites (secondment backfill)
  • Part time, fixed term opportunity until 8/3/2026, 15.2 hours per fortnight, predominantly based at Dandenong Hospital (parental leave backfill)
  • Part time, fixed term opportunity from 12/1/26 until 27/2/2026, 44 hours per fortnight, predominantly based at Dandenong Hospital (leave backfill)

In this positon you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services to patients in many clinical areas including general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, pelvic health and maternity, as well as in the ICU and ED (depending on your clinical skill set). These roles provide valuable leadership across physiotherapy, allied health and the multidisciplinary care team, driving best-practice person-centred care. You will be responsible for supervising a Grade 1 Physiotherapist and undergraduate students. You will be well supported by a large, dynamic and progressive team which includes Grade 4 and Grade 3 Physiotherapists, Grade 2 colleagues and the site Physiotherapy Manager.

About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following:

  • Clinical knowledge and experience across a range of clinical areas in the acute hospital
  • Passion for implementation of evidence based practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Proactivity and team player attitude
  • Sound skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting 

 

Mandatory requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent
  • Current unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
