About the Role:
Join our team as a Grade 3 Acute and Complex Care Physiotherapist (Respiratory Medicine) on a full-time fixed-term basis (parental leave cover) until March 2027, based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
In this positon you will be responsible for leading the provision and development of physiotherapy services to patients in the Respiratory Medicine and Special Medicine Programs. Your clinical caseload will include patients with acute and chronic cardiorespiratory conditions as well as neuromuscular conditions impacting the respiratory system, in the acute hospital setting. This role provides valuable clinical, education, service development, quality improvement and research leadership across physiotherapy and the multidisciplinary care team, driving best-practice person-centred care. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to various portfolios in the physiotherapy department (site operations), broader ward governance and allied health leadership, and work closely with the Grade 4 Acute and Complex Care Stream Leader and site-based operational Physiotherapy Manager. You will be responsible for supervising Grade 2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants (AHAs), and undergraduate students, while being supported by a large, dynamic, and progressive team. This is a great opportunity for an established Grade 3 Physiotherapist to extend their responsibiltiies and capabilities in a tertiary hospital, or a current Grade 2 Physiotherapist looking to step into a Grade 3 role.

About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in respiratory physiotherapy in the hospital setting
- Passion for implementation of evidence based practice
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills with experience in providing clinical education
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Advanced skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Current unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
