About the Role:
Join our team as a Grade 3 Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist! We’re offering a range of opportunities, including both ongoing and fixed-term roles - our longest fixed term extending through to September 2026.
This position is based across multiple Emergency departments - Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre/Monash Children’s Hospital, as well as Moorabbin Hospital.
In this exciting role, you will utilise your advanced clinical reasoning and skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy to manage adult and paediatric patients with fractures, sprains, spinal pain and other musculoskeletal presentations.
Work collaboratively with Senior Medical Staff including those from the Emergency Department (ED) and specialty teams, such as Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Radiology to ensure the best care for Monash Health patients. Primarily working in the ED, you may also have the opportunity to work in our Advanced Practice Screening Clinics, such as Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Service (OAHKS) and the Back & Neck Clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and coordination of services to clients with Musculoskeletal conditions, to facilitate safe, effective, person-centred care
- Providing specialist clinical advice to other physiotherapists and multidisciplinary colleagues including secondary consultation as required
- Develop and re-evaluate patient care protocols, collaborate with services, lead a team for optimal outcomes, and expand musculoskeletal physiotherapy to deliver efficient, effective care
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise
- Deliver clinical education and supervision for Physiotherapy and other students

About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Extensive musculoskeletal clinical experience in either the public or private setting is essential, while experience in the ED setting and with paediatric patients is advantageous
- Understanding of the limits of scope of practice for AMPs
- Knowledge and experience working closely within an inter-professional team and what other disciplines and support services can provide
- Be highly skilled in assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions

- An enthusiastic and dedicated clinician who is prepared for challenging experiences
- Passion for providing a consistently high level of patient care and excellent problem-solving skills
- Advanced skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Relevant post graduate qualifications (or progression towards this)
- Current Drivers Licence
