About the Role:
Join our team as a Grade 3 Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (AMP)! We are offering a range of exciting opportunities and welcome applications from clinicians seeking either full-time or part-time hours across ongoing and fixed-term opportunities.
Available hours include:
- Ongoing 45.1 hours per week
- Fixed-term 12 hours per week until September 2027
- Fixed-term 18 hours per week until January 2027
Based mainly across Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre/Monash Children's Hospital, you will provide advanced assessment, clinical reasoning and management of adult and paediatric musculoskeletal presentations within the Emergency Department setting. Depending on your experience and operational requirements, opportunities may also extend to outpatient services across Dandenong, Casey and Moorabbin Hospitals.
Work collaboratively with senior medical and specialty teams, including those from the Emergency Department (ED) and specialty teams, such as Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery, to ensure the best care for Monash Health patients. Primarily working in the ED, you may also have the opportunity to work in our Advanced Practice Screening Clinics, such as Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Service (OAHKS) and the Back & Neck Clinic.
AMP team members participate in a weekend and public holiday roster, including Christmas Day coverage.

About You:
To thrive in this role you will bring:
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment and management
- Extensive musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience in either a public or private healthcare setting
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and an understanding of the contributions of other disciplines and support services
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach to care
- Sound understanding of the scope and limitations of AMP practice
- The ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and complex clinical environments
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in AMP
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- Experience in the Emergency Department setting and working with paediatric patients will be highly regarded
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications, or progression towards these
- Current Driver Licence
