A Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Monash Health provides specialist surgical care in reconstructive, trauma, hand, skin cancer, and complex wound management. Working within a multidisciplinary public health setting, they deliver high-quality patient-centred care, supervise junior medical staff, and contribute to teaching and research, and support the development of surgical services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
About the Department / Program
The Monash Health Plastic Surgery Unit is Australia’s largest and most comprehensive reconstructive surgery service. We perform high volumes of complex procedures across adult and paediatric hospitals and maintain an active research agenda integrated into clinical care.
About the Role
Join our team as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon on a part time fixed term basis to work across all Monash Health sites. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of Director Mr Michael Lo and working with the broader Plastics team.
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and knowledge of Public hospital procedures.
Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons
- Working with children’s certificate
- Radiation use licence
