About the Role:

Join our team as a Project Officer on a full time, fixed term (end date July 2026), to work across sites but based at Clayton in the delivery of Capital Projects

Explanation of the role and the projects/tasks (as documented in the position description) Include some bullet points

  • Supporting the day to day management of defined project budgets
  • Raising of purchase orders and other procurement activities as delegated
  • Supporting the reporting of project budgets, including risks, variations and mitigations through standard project management forums
  • Involvement and support of day to day project activities from design through to delivery of the project

There may be a requirement to travel across site pending project allocations.

 

About Us:

The Capital team are responsible for an extensive range of large major projects but also various important smaller value but complex projects including refurbishments of departments and clinical areas. There is also a program of work of decanting of sites, reallocation of sites and staff relocations. The Project Officer will work within a team structure to support the various projects in planning and implementation. The role will have key responsibility for day to day coordination and administrative functions, engagement of stakeholders and communications, coordination of meetings and project activities and producing key project documentation in the support of the delivery and implementation of projects. The role will also support Procurement functions to support the delivery of projects.

 

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

Outline skills / experience / attitude

  • Ability to work as part of a team, including internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience in the delivery of health care projects (desirable)
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to locally resolve issues on a day-to-day basis, while being cognisant of circumstances where escalation and/or senior management notification and/or engagement is required.

Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships,

  • Ideally project management studies and/ or experience in the health care environment in the delivery of projects
