About the Role
This is a grade 3 position (exprienced grade 2s are also encouraged to apply). The position provides psychological services to consumers in the Clayton Continuing Care Team (CCT). The Clayton CCT provides case management support and treatment for consumers aged from 25 to 65 years with a severe and/or persistent mental illness. The aim is to provide comprehensive mental health care that considers all aspects of a person’s needs and includes carers and family involvement and support.
The focus of the position is to provide evidence-based psychological group therapy to CCT consumers who are experiencing psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma related disorders and personality disturbances. The position will also provide individual psychology services on occasion.
Grade 2 Psychology positions are roles for psychologists in their first five years of practice post attaining theirgeneral registration and include those who are completing (or have completed) their registrar programs to gain endorsement in an area of practice. They may have entry level of proficiency and are expected to learn more and develop. If endorsed, their level of proficiency is expected to be higher as they have met the requirements of an area of practice endorsement.
About You:
- Advanced knowledge and skills in providing evidence-based psychological intervention and evaluation of outcomes with groups
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience in providing group psychological services to adults with complex mental health presentations including psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma related disorders and personality disturbance
- Experience providing secondary consultation
- Experience supporting the development of skills in others
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience in providing individual psychological services to adults with complex mental health presentations
