This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide psychological services to children and adolescents in the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (DPED).

About the Team

The department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients up to 18 years of age diagnosed with diabetes and endocrine disorders. The DPED team offers immediate access and education for newly diagnosed patients, coordinates care for complex conditions and facilitates transition to adult endocrinology services. As a multidisciplinary team, DPED includes paediatric endocrinologists, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, diabetes nurse educators, endocrine clinical nurse consultants, and dedicated administrative staff, all working collaboratively to support holistic patient care.

About the Role

The focus of the position is to provide evidence-based psychological services to patients who present with mood, anxiety and adjustment disorders, trauma and stress related disorders, in addition to specific phobias or procedural anxiety, and medical treatment adherence difficulties in the context of diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

There is an opportunity to link the hours with another role to increase the contracted hours.
