About the Department

At the Victorian Heart Hospital, Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering world-class, patient-centred care in a high-acuity environment. Our Emergency Department is equipped with 2 resuscitation bays, 8 short-stay beds, 3 assessment bays, and 12 main cubicles, ensuring we can respond rapidly and effectively to critically ill patients—90% of whom fall under Category 1 and 2 acuity. Despite being a senior-led team, we maintain a strong clinical presence on the floor, with a hands-on approach that prioritises bedside care and team collaboration. If you are passionate about making a direct impact in a dynamic, high-performance setting, we welcome you to join our mission of excellence in cardiovascular emergency care
