About Us   

Kingston Centre, located in Cheltenham, is a stand-alone subacute site within Victoria’s largest public health service, Monash Health. Onsite we have a purpose built rehabilitation centre which encompasses a large onsite gyms, pool and kitchen amenities for our consumers. GEM (Geriatric Evaluation & Management) @ Kingston Centre is comprised of 4 wards providing specialist assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex and multi-dimensional needs including medical, functional, and often cognitive conditions. The GEM Units are dedicated to delivering patient care in line with our iCare values and ensure that all patients are treated with dignity and respect while in our care. GEM @ Kingston Centre delivers care across the inpatient, subacute and community setting and is a key pillar of the Monash Health strategy to provide timely care close to home.    

 

About the Role  

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses looking to excel your career and grow your clinical knowledge, and at Kingston Centre there is an abundance of learning and leadership opportunities waiting to be explored! The capacity of work to undertake complex discharge planning, complex wounds, patient training, address continence and catheter issues. With the overall aim to see that all patients are treated with dignity and respect as they transition into longer term Residential care or back into their home environment. We offer professional development, leadership opportunities, but more importantly the time and support for you to be the best possible nurse. We have ongoing positions with both Full Time and Part Time hours working across a 7-day rotational roster.    

What you Bring: 

  • Enthusiasm, compassion & ability to work collaboratively! As an experienced Registered Nurse you will understand the Clinical requirements of the role however your enthusiasm for ongoing learning and education will make you a stand out!   
  • Understanding the importance of patient centred care, you have experience as a Registered Nurse and have a genuine interest in working and interacting with our diverse patients.   
  • Of course you will hold a current AHPRA registration and employee level working with Children’s Check teamed with Australian working rights.   
  • Your critical thinking, willingness to learn and ability to work cohesively and share knowledge within the team will see you excel in this role whilst we provide you with guidance, support and training.   

What you need:   

  • Current AHPRA registration - as a Registered Nurse   
  • Proven clinical experience working within aged, subacute or rehabilitation – essential    
  • Flexible working style to adapt to changes through the day   
  • Compassionate manner, advocating for patients in their vulnerable state
