Neurosciences Unit (Ward 31 South)
Jessie McPherson Private Hospital has one of the most advanced Neurosciences departments of any hospital in Victoria due to our ability to care for clients requiring complex Neurological and Neurosurgical treatment. This includes patients undergoing surgery and also those with neurological disorders. Our high level services include:

8 Neurosurgical High Dependency beds for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and specialised care

Access to Intensive Care Unit that allow for the best in immediate pre and post-operative observation and care

On site specialist medical team which includes extremely experienced Neurosurgeons and Neurologist, Vascular surgeons, Endocrine services and Respiratory Physicians.
About the Role
We presently have a number of opportunities for suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join our team in providing excellent care to our acute and complex Neurosurgical patients. Working across a rotating roster (24 hours / 7 days), we have permanent full time and part time positions.
Bringing your passion and open interest for Neurosurgical nursing along with demonstrated experience in acute patient care will ensure your success within our team. We provide significant education and professional developmental support in this specialty area and if you're successful in your application, we can consider both full time and part time hours.
Our experienced and talented nursing team provides broad and specialised care for Neurosurgical, Neurology, Vascular, including respiratory and nephrology patients with acute, chronic and end stage conditions. We also provide care for patients with disorders of the Central nervous system who may require various interventional radiological procedures.
About You
Looking for a dedicated and considerate members of staff who are highly committed to delivering exceptional care within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You also have amazing interpersonal skills that make you a clear communicator and influencer, while having the ability to build rapport with others, working well within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrate ongoing clinical education relevant to area of practice
recent experience in Neurosciences and /or Vascular Nursing is a distinct advantage and a Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience Nursing is highly regarded.
