About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a part time, fixed term (April 2027) position working out of Monash Children’s Hospital – Children’s Cancer Centre (Reef) at Clayton.
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
This position is targeted at paediatric nurses who wish to upskill in paediatric oncology to become chemotherapy competent. You will work closely with the Children's Cancer Centre medical and nursing staff to ensure the provision of coordinated, safe and effective care for children undergoing treatment for cancer.

Reef is home to the Children’s Cancer Centre, our day oncology unit. The centre provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary model of care to children and young people with cancer and haematological conditions. Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) cares for more than 100,000 children every year and is Victoria’s largest healthcare service and one of only four accredited Academic Health Science Centres in Australia. We have access to the world’s leading medical minds which are turning research findings into better health outcomes for our patients.
About You
You are an experienced paediatric oncology nurse with advanced communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Patient-centred, high quality care to individuals presenting to the Children’s Cancer Clinic
- Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
- Strong communication skills and critical thinking capability
- Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program
