About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a part time, ongoing position working out of Monash Children’s Hospital - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Clayton.
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
As a Registered Nurse in PICU, you will provide exceptional, patient-centred care to children and their families in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilising your clinical expertise to assess, treat, and support young patients in PICU.

At Cocoon, our 10-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, we offer comprehensive care to children who require life-support or an intensive level of nursing and medical care. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals works tirelessly to ensure the highest standard of care in a dynamic, child-friendly environment. We are passionate about fostering a supportive atmosphere where both patients and their families feel cared for and valued.
About You
You are a proven Registered Nurse with Paediatric nursing experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Patient-centred, high quality care to individuals presenting to PICU
- Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
- Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program
In addition:
- Paediatric experience is essential
- Recent clinical nursing experience in a critical care setting
- You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA)
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
