About the Role:
Join our Radiology Nursing team, working across Monash Medical Centre (MMC) and Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH), in an ongoing Part-Time or Full-Time position.
- We currently operate Monday to Friday, with out of hours on call 7 days a week, so work life balance is achievable with us!
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Monash Health Radiology departments (MMC/MCH), you will provide nursing care and assistance for outpatients, and acute to critical care for inpatients. You will assist with diagnostic scans and therapeutic Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures offered across the various modalities, including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, and Angiography.

Monash Imaging is Victoria’s largest public radiology provider dedicated to providing patient focused services to the people of South East Melbourne and surrounding communities. Our Imaging sites work across a full range of modalities including MRI, PET/CT, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, Interventional Angiography and Bone Densitometry.
The new Monash Children’s encompasses the latest technology including, MRI, Mock MRI, x-ray, ultrasound, robotic fluoroscopy and angiography and Carestream RIS and PACS. The department will also have Australia’s first department wide patient experience system to facilitate a great environment for our Children of today and tomorrow. Other modalities including CT and Nuclear Medicine will be shared with the adult hospital.
About You:
You are a qualified Registered Nurse with recent acute, surgical and/or critical care experience. You will model the values of Monash Health and the culture of Patient and Family Centred Care, and you are passionate about providing exceptional care to your patients. You are confident in your assessment skills and can recognise and manage the deteriorating patient.
You also:
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working with a large multidisciplinary team
- You have a love of learning and are excited to move to a role where technology is continually advancing
- Commit to the ongoing development of your clinical knowledge and skills, with the expectation that you will continually upskill across the radiology modalities
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your prioritisation skills will shine
What you need:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Post registration clinical experience in Diagnostic, Therapeutic & Interventional Imaging (Preferable but not essential)
- Post graduate qualification or Post registration clinical experience in Paediatrics, Critical Care, Theatre, Anaesthetics & Recovery and Surgical nursing (desirable)
