About the Role:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in an ongoing fulltime/part-time permanent night duty position, working at the Clinical Trails Centre at MMC Clayton.
You will be required to work Permanent Night duty Monday to Thursday night.
This role represents an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical skills, and further your knowledge within the clinical trials setting, in a purpose built facility.
Cytotoxic medications and immunotherapies will only be some of the novel investigational products administered to outr trial participants, and you will need experience in cancer nursing.
Our aim is to provide accurate and timely protocol dictated data for the multiple trials being conducted within our network and to ensure we deliver consistant high quality care to the trial participants, assisting with education, and ensuring particiapant compliance; safety is our highest priority. For many of out trial participants, commencing a clinical trial can be their last line of treatment, so displaying emotional intelligence is paramount, we get to know them on a different level.
About Us:
The Monash Health Clinical Trials Centre is located at Monash Medical centre, Clayton, within the the Monash health Translation Precinct. This unique centre has 21 treatment chairs, 8 beds, and 10 consulting rooms and offers clinical support to the numerous trial units and researchers within the Monash Health network and their Partners. The Clinical Trials Centre can cater for all phases of clinical trials, and has a dedicated onsite Trials Pharmacy and Pathology. Trial participants have access to onsite CT and DEXA scanners. Specialties varyand include Oncology, Haematology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Lung & Sleep, and Endocrinoloy.

About You:
To ensure success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Experience in Oncology/Haematology nursing
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Emotional Intelligence
- Excellent time management
- ADAC competency or willing to complete training to administer investigational products
- Peripheral IV cannulation and CVAD competency
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training or willingness to complete online training
