About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scrub/Scout nurse to join our team in the Operating Theatres at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.

We have permanent Full-time & Part-time positions available.

Rotating rosters AM/PM/ND
In this role, you will manage workload delegation to ensure effective team coordination and high-quality care delivery. You will provide and role model nursing excellence through a strong commitment to patient-centred care, while mentoring and supporting staff and students in their clinical practice.
The position requires the ability to prioritise and deliver timely care to support efficient patient flow, including admissions and discharges. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-focused outcomes and maintain accurate documentation in line with professional and legal standards. Additionally, you will actively participate in quality, safety, and improvement initiatives to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
About Us:
Monash medical Centre Operating Suites have 9 Theatres and cater for a wide variety of surgical specialties including but not limited to, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, ENT, Paediatrics, Colorectal, Dental/Maxillofacial and Hepatobiliary. We operate 24hours a day, 7 days a week and provide a highly acute emergency service.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
To be successful in this role you should be:

Minimum 12 months experience required as a surgical nurse within the Operating Theatre

Competently work within the Instrument & Circulating nurse role within Theatre.

Scrub and scout for a range of surgical specialties including and not limited to, Obstetrics, General, Vascular, Gynaecology, Colorectal & some paediatrics.

Committed to delivering patient-centred care & a patient advocacy

Expectation that On Call duties will be performed once certain competencies are reached
