About the Role:

 

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in Monash Children’s Operating theatre. We have Part Time and full time positions, Ongoing and Fixed Term Maternity Leave cover roles for 12 months.

 

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

 

About Us:

 

Our Operating Suite is located at Monash Children's Hospital within a new purpose-built facility, featuring state of the art equipment within its four theatres & procedure room providing services to 4,000 patients a year!

 

Our main surgical specialties include, orthopaedics, plastics, general surgery, urology, ENT and endoscopy. We also support anaesthetics in off the floor areas such as MRI and the Children’s Cancer Centre. It is a fast-paced busy environment, where compassionate care for our young patients and their families is our number one priority.

 

About You:

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in a Peri-operative, Anaesthetic or PACU or scrub/scout nursing background, or considering a change from another area of nursing to expand your knowledge and skills and be trained as a theatre nurse.
