Responsible for coordinating global commercial studies and international investigator trials in: Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Movement Disorders, Neurodegenerative Diseases and Epilepsy

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our neuroscience research team working 32 hours per fortnight, based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
A Day in the Life
As a Research Nurse (Level 3) you will be responsible for the management and supervision of other employees and the development of strategies to meet the educational requirements of employee or participants in a trial or trials. This also includes the forward planning of resource requirements.
You will lead research nurses in the team and provide mentorship and assist in their development.
You will also work with, direct and liaise with multiple local and international sites, sponsors and stakeholders and alongside with enthusiastic and experienced research team and global research leaders in neurosciences.
About You
An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive group of research nurses in neuroscience research. You will have demonstrable experience in working collaboratively with key agencies, within the scope of relevant legislation and professional guidelines and are an excellent communicator, able to work independently and contribute to a resilient team. You have experience in the development and review of standard operating protocols, liaising with external agencies, overseeing and/or participating in patient recruitment, ethics application processes and adverse event reporting (as required) in consultation with the management team. In addition to this, you will also have:

Excellent people management including relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions

Attention to detail skill and be able to rigorously adhere to relevant documentation standards

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with external research organisations, sites and stakeholders
-
Experience in ethics and governance submissions
-
Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as consulting and collaborating with others to deliver outcomes
-
Be outcome focused with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
What you need:
-
Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA via AHPRA
-
Minimum of five years nursing/midwifery experience, two of which have been in a Nursing research/clinical trial environment
-
Recent experience demonstrating appropriate competencies and skills
-
Qualification of Master’s Degree or other relevant post graduate education with a research component, including a thesis, or working towards the same desirable
-
Current and satisfactory pre or ongoing employment screening, including but not limited to National Police
-
Check and employee Working with Children Check (WWC)
-
Member of a relevant health professional research group or other Nursing/Midwifery professional association
