An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Medical Scientist Grade 1/2 to join our Pathology Immunology Laboratory. This is a part-time position (0.6 EFT), working three days per week, and is offered on a fixed-term basis until 16 May 2027.
About Monash Health Pathology Service
Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Casey, Dandenong, Moorabbin, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There is currently 22 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.
You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria. As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership.
About The Role
This part-time (0.6 EFT) fixed-term position is for a Medical Scientist Grade 1/2 based in the Immunology Unit at our Clayton Laboratory. Working three days per week, the successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic team performing a broad range of diagnostic Immunology and Flow Cytometry testing, including autoimmune serology, lymphoma and leukaemia diagnosis and tests for immunodeficiency.
About You
What You Need:

A degree in Science or Applied Science.

Experience working in a diagnostic Immunology and/or Flow Cytometry Laboratory (highly desirable).

Experience working in a Pathology environment and with a Pathology Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).

Agree to work on a monthly rotational roster (The lab opens Monday to Saturday between 8:30am to 7:30pm with On-Call on Sunday and Public Holiday).
