Join us as a pivotal figure in hospital safety. As a Security Officer, you'll be instrumental in creating a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities include ensuring physical safety, safeguarding hospital property, responding promptly to emergencies, and managing traffic, including parking. At the heart of safety, our Casual Security Officers ensure emergency readiness, property protection, and seamless traffic management across various healthcare facilities. 

   

A Day in the Life: 

Step into a role where your actions matter: 

 

Quick Emergency response: 

  • Swiftly respond to any issues across Monash Health sites.  

  • Collaborate closely with fellow staff to manage emergencies effectively.  

 

Safety and Security: 

  • Safeguard clinical and non-clinical areas within hospital and community sites.  

  • Contribute to response teams for hospital emergency codes, including Code Grey and Code Black.  

 

About You:   

We're looking for professionals with: 

  • Previous experience as a Security Officer in a hospital/health setting. 

  • Participation in code responses (black, grey, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of current emergency response, including fire panels, OWS, and EWIS panels. 

  • Proven conflict resolution skills and a commitment to superior customer service. 

  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills for incident and report preparation. 

  

Applicants must have:

 

  • Certificate III in Security Operations (Unarmed Guard & Crowd Control) OR Certificate II in Security Operations (Unarmed Guard and Crowd Control) 

  • Current Working with Children’s Check (or application in progress) 

  • Current open or provisional Victorian Drivers Licence
