About the Role
Senior Clinician (Speech Pathology), Child and Family Program including feeding (covering a Parental Leave and Secondment position until 19/09/2027).
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 3 Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team who wish to be a clinical leader in a multidisciplinary team. The Grade 3 Senior Clinician Speech Pathologist role is a full time fixed term contract. The position will be based at one of the community sites (Springvale, Cranbourne, Pakenham), and travel across sites will be required.
Our Journey
The Child and Family Program including Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies (HMHB) is comprised of numerous disciplines that focus on assessment and child and family focused care. The program consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dieticians, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologist, Community Development Workers and Family Support Workers. The team is committed to working with communities, families and individuals who have poor health outcomes and to providing high quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace child and family-centred practice, evidence-based practice, and the Social Model of Health.
A Day in the Life
In this role, you would work alongside other team leaders and discipline leads as well as Program Managers. There will be opportunity to work in a large, multidisciplinary allied health teams in community health on an on-going basis. As the Grade 3 Speech Pathologist, you will provide service to a clinical caseload, including infant/paediatric feeding and communication. You will provide mentoring and supervision to speech pathologists on the team, participate in service development initiatives, and work with partners and external stakeholders. You will assist with the day to day running of the multidisciplinary Child Health team with support from managers as well as work with a very varied and diverse caseload and community.
About You:

You’ll have extensive experience with some of this experience in paediatrics (communication and feeding)

Able to work independently to provide services to children, families and other stakeholders

Experience and training relevant to the role

Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team

Attitude of lifelong learning
What you need:

Bachelor of Speech Pathology OR Masters of Speech Pathology, OR equivalent as assessed and approved by Speech Pathology Australia

Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia

Current Drivers Licence without restrictions
