About the Role
The Senior Digital Technical Business Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager – Portfolio Planning within the Program Management Office (PMO) of the Digital and Information Division, will lead the review and analysis of the organisation’s business objectives, services, processes and information needs to identify options that satisfy the business need.
This role has a high-level of autonomy and is fully accountable for:

consulting with relevant stakeholders to design proposals, business cases, and solutions,
-
the elicitation of business and technical requirements and design of solution options that meet the agreed requirements of quality, deliverables, and outcomes, and
-
referring to the business lead, project manager, or appropriate governance forums any decisions that require:
-

significant deviation from project outcomes or timeframes,
-
are likely to escalate or create substantial or contentious precedent,
-
require a high administrative or financial delegation, or submission to a higher level of management.

To be successful in this position, you should have a strong combination of skills in technology, healthcare expertise, effective communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation.
About Us
Monash Health, Alfred Health, and Western Health partnership has been formed to deliver a comprehensive suite of public pathology services, including anatomical pathology, biochemistry and point-of-care testing, genetics and molecular pathology, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
The health services are transitioning to a consolidated and modern Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to improve their connectedness which aims to reduce fragmentation, increase the ability for the health services to respond systematically to communicable disease outbreaks, and provide a foundation for future efficiencies.
When Monash Pathology transition to this new Laboratory Information System, there will be historical patient and clinical data held in several bespoke applications (e.g. LRS Medipath). The Senior Digital Technical Business Analyst will lead technical requirement analyses related to data archiving, application decommissioning, system integration, and deployment. The Senior Digital Technical Business Analyst will:

document detailed business and technical requirements

develop precise technical specifications

ensure alignment with project objectives

conduct options analysis

develop a business case for the data archiving project
