We're looking for an experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our Workplace Relations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations, you'll partner with leaders across the organisation to provide practical, compliant and people-focused employee and industrial relations advice that supports positive workplace outcomes.

 

Working across one of Australia's largest public health services, you'll have the opportunity to influence workplace culture, support organisational change and contribute to strategic employee relations initiatives.

 

About You

You'll be a trusted advisor who enjoys working in a complex environment and partnering with leaders to navigate challenging workplace matters. You'll bring sound judgement, a collaborative approach and the confidence to provide practical, risk-based advice.

In this role, you'll:

  • Partner with leaders and People and Culture to provide expert employee and industrial relations advice.
  • Advise on workplace investigations, complaints, grievances and organisational change processes.
  • Interpret and apply workplace legislation, enterprise agreements and case law.
  • Support enterprise agreement bargaining, implementation and interpretation.
  • Coach and influence leaders to achieve positive, fair and compliant workplace outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain People and Culture policies and procedures.
  • Support workplace disputes, including Fair Work Commission matters.

 

You'll also bring:

  • A degree in Law is highly regarded
  • At least five years' experience providing employment law and/or employee relations/industrial relations advice in a complex, multi-site or regulated environment.
  • Experience advising on workplace investigations.
  • Experience interpreting workplace legislation, enterprise agreements and case law.
  • Experience implementing enterprise agreements, with Victorian public sector experience highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A current driver's licence.
