About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our high performing Employee Relations Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations, you'll be responsible for supporting People and Culture professionals and line management in managing complex ER matters, support enterprise bargaining and consistent and effective application of legislation and enterprise agreements. Working with key internal and external stakeholders, your skills and expertise will assist in delivering Monash Health’s employee and industrial relations strategies and make a genuine impact across a large and complex organisation.
Specific responsibilites include:
- Delivering accurate, pragmatic and timely employee relations advice
- Applying and interpreting applicable enterprise agreements and relevant legislation and case law
- Supporting enterprise bargaining
- Implementing enterprise agreements including internal (line management, Payroll and IT) and external stakeholder liaison
- Reviewing and maintaining People & Culture policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industrial obligations
- Conducting workplace investigations and reviews
- Assisting in workplace disputes and matters before the Fair Work Commission
About you
- You are an experienced and energetic ER/IR professional who thrives in a complex, unionised environment and enjoys partnering closely with People and Culture and operational leaders in delivering positive workplace relations outcomes.
- Experience in the Victorian public health sector is highly desirable.
- Degree in law, with experience in employment law is preferred.
What you need
- 5 - 8 years’ proven experience in Workplace Relations / Employee Relations /Industrial Relations roles.
- Strong experience working in complex, unionised environments.
- Sound knowledge of relevant workplace relations legislation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
