About ELMHS
Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families in addressing a number of complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Infant & Child Mental Health Clinician to join a thriving, engaged team of clinicians providing clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to infants and children experiencing complex mental health difficulties in the South East. The Infant & Child Core Community Treatment Team provides medium term treatment for infants and children (0-11 year olds) and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong and Shire of Cardinia areas. You will work with a multidisciplinary team led by a Team Manager and consultant psychiatrists. We work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.
This is a fixed term role supporting the team at our Casey and Frankston sites. There is 0.6 FTE available until February 2026. This role is funded as a Grade 3 allied health clinician: Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology (YB27,YB54,YC49), Grade 3 Psychologist (PL4) and Grade 4 Nursing (NP77). The role will suit a creative and innovative candidate who strive to learn and embrace emerging practice directions. About You
