About Us
The Acute Neuropsychology Unit is situated within Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. We provide inpatient consultation across all Monash Health acute sites for adult medical, oncology, cardiac and surgical services, alongside a specialist Outpatient Neuropsychology Clinic for current Monash Health patients.
Our team works with people experiencing neurological, neurodegenerative and complex medical conditions affecting cognitive functioning. We collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in supporting patient care.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly specialised neuropsychology service providing assessment and consultation across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting neuropsychological, cognitive and decision-making capacity assessments.
- Providing consultation, recommendations and comprehensive reports to treating teams.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and service development.
- Supporting and supervising students and Grade 2 psychologists.
About You
You are an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist who values collaborative practice and has expertise in assessing and managing adults with neurological and medical conditions.
You will have:
- General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- At least five years' post-registration experience as a Grade 2 Psychologist (or equivalent).
- Expertise in neuropsychological assessment of complex neurological and medical presentations.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience providing consultation, supervision and professional support to others.
- A commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
- You are a board approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia or would be eligible to undergo the appropriate training within 6 months of commencing the role
- You are a collaborative team player who values partnership, shared expertise and working closely within a multidisciplinary team
