About Strategy & Planning Team | Office of the Chief Executive

Help shape the future of care at one of Australia’s largest and most innovative health services.

The Strategy & Planning team is pivotal in shaping and supporting Monash Health’s long-term strategy and direction. The team integrates strategy and service planning to guide the organisation’s growth and service delivery. Utilising key data and insights about our environment and services, the Strategy & Planning team sets medium to long-term objectives, identifies key priorities and supports effective delivery.  

 

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Strategy & Planning Partner (full-time permanent) to join our Strategy & Planning team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Monash Health’s long‑term direction. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across clinical and non‑clinical areas to translate strategic intent into clear, actionable plans that improve how we deliver care for our community.

You’ll lead priority strategic and service planning projects, bring strong analytical and conceptual thinking, and build trusted relationships across the organisation and with external partners. Your work will help strengthen decision‑making, align our efforts, and support delivery of our Strategy and Clinical Services Plan.

 

About you

Some of the key knowledge and experience we're looking for include:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, high‑priority strategic initiatives and/or service planning in large, complex health organisations.  
  • Strong understanding of public health policy, system issues, and the broader health service environment. 
  • Demonstrated capacity to navigate ambiguity, manage evolving priorities, and operate effectively in dynamic environments.  
  • Advanced conceptual and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex systems and synthesise information into clear, actionable insights.  
  • High‑level stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships across internal and external partners.  
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, audience‑appropriate reports and strategic documents.
