About the Department / Program
The Children’s Program provides high quality, equitable service to all children and adolescents. Operating as a single service across multiple inpatient and community sites, collaborative and multidisciplinary teams work in an integrated model across the care continuum for children and their families, delivering exceptional care for future health outcomes. Volunteers and key partnerships, integrated into the clinical teams and in stand-alone services, enhances the experience of patients, families and visitors accessing the service. We provide exceptional care, outstanding outcomes and a positive experience for all children and their families.
About the Role
Join our team as a Personal Assistant on a part time, ongoing basis to work at Monash Children’s Hospital based at Clayton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Operations Manager – Emergency and Intensive Care, Children’s and working with the broader operations team.
The Personal Assistant reports jointly to the Operations Director/Director of Nursing, Monash Children’s Hospital and the Operations Manager – Emergency and Intensive Care, Children’s, and is responsible for delivering high level, proactive support to the Operations Manager – Emergency and Intensive Care, Children’s and the Monash Children’s Hospital site. Including but not limited to:
- Providing end-to-end administrative support to operational leaders
- Manage diaries, meetings, agendas, minutes, actions and correspondence
- Support site operations, facilities coordination, contractors, and space management
- Assist with risk, safety, incident, and emergency management processes
- Support purchasing, expenditure approval, and cost control
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Highly developed skills in M365 application suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and a high level of technology/system literacy
- Highly developed customer service skills – excellent self-presentation, highly organised and well developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage and resolve challenging issues, including conflict, in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication style for a range of audiences and purposes
