About You

You are an experienced and proactive leader in facilities and asset management, with a strong background in managing complex building systems—ideally within a hospital or similar high-demand environment. Your leadership style is collaborative and outcomes-focused, and you thrive in environments where safety, compliance, and continuous improvement are essential.

You bring strong technical knowledge, a clear understanding of essential services regulations, and the ability to manage diverse teams and competing priorities across multiple sites. You take pride in developing people, delivering strategic improvements, and ensuring infrastructure supports the highest standard of patient care.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or trade qualifications in building services or facilities management
  • Extensive experience in facilities and asset maintenance in large or complex infrastructure settings
  • A sound understanding of essential service regulations, the Building Code of Australia (BCA), and compliance frameworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of statutory and operational standards in healthcare or similar industries
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (especially Schneider and Johnson Controls)
  • Proven ability to lead teams through change, build capability, and embed a culture of continuous improvement
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal departments and with external contractors and government bodies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and resolve conflict constructively
  • A strategic mindset and demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimise resources, and deliver on performance targets

You are also safety-conscious, risk-aware, and committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment for your team.
