About the Role:

Join our team as Continence Specialist on a part-time, fixed-term basis (0.63 EFT / 48 hours per fortnight) until October 2025.

This opportunity is open to either a Clinical Nurse Consultant or Grade 3 Physiotherapist. If you are an aspiring Grade 2 clinician with the relevant experience, we'd love to hear from you as well. You will be part of the wider Monash Health service, with access to all the benefits that offers: professional development, broad and specialised clinical experience. About Us:

The Continence Service is an outpatient service within the Specialist Clinics. We are a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of specialist clinicians passionate about continence management. As a member of the Monash Health continence service and broader teams, whether that be Nursing or Physiotherapy, we are committed to working with you to become your professional best. We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your clinical and leadership skills. The Health Independence Program funded continence service is an innovative multidisciplinary team who will welcome your fresh ideas and approaches. Working with one of the largest continence teams in Victoria you will have opportunities to work with and learn from a variety of health professionals including geriatricians, senior physiotherapists, clinical nurse consultants and a dietician in a supportive environment.

 

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Experience managing complex continence clients across an episode of care  
  • Enthusiasm for working in a specialised multidisciplinary team  
  • Ability to supervise junior staff and contribute to peer based learning  
  • Exposure to quality and research initiatives  
  • Demonstrated commitment to best practice care  
  • Ambition to grow your clinical skills and expand your knowledge  
  • Your proactive and team player attitude   
  • Your strong communication and interpersonal skills  

 

Mandatory requirements of the role: 

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent, current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency  (AHPRA)   

OR 

  • Bachelor of Nursing - Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA with meeting recency of practice criteria 
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Continence Management
