About Us
Monash Children’s Hospital is one of Australia’s leading providers of integrated children’s health services, offering care across more than 30 specialist programs. As part of our passionate Allied Health team, you’ll help deliver high-quality, family-centred care across inpatient, outpatient and Hospital in the Home settings.
The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) provides state wide, goal-focused rehabilitation, supporting children and young people to achieve meaningful outcomes through interdisciplinary care.
Monash Health Community brings together the Child and Family Team and School Readiness Team, supporting families across the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Shire of Cardinia. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver innovative, developmentally focused care, empowering children and families to thrive.
About the Role
Join our team as a Grade 1 Paediatric Speech Pathologist in a full-time, ongoing role featuring three diverse rotations.
In this role you will collaborate with colleagues across the service to foster clinical excellence and consistency of practice. With each rotation lasting for 12months, you will move between: The School Readiness program, Monash Health Community and Monash Children’s Hospital /Victorian Paediatric Rehab Service (VPRS). You will be part of dynamic, evidence-based teams and will be involved in service development and quality improvement projects in your clinical area to support high quality clinical care.
Gain diverse experience through rotations across community sites (Cranbourne, Pakenham, Springvale) and acute settings, including Monash Children’s Hospital. You’ll join a large, supportive team with dedicated supervision from a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist.
About You
To thrive in this role you will bring the following:
- A flexible mindset and willingness to work in different areas as required
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice care
- Your strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Bachelor of Health Science (Speech Pathology), Master of Speech Pathology or recognised equivalent (including overseas qualifications assessed by Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) within the past two years
- Eligible for membership as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with SPA
- Demonstrated experience as a Speech Pathologist (minimum 12 months preferred)
- Valid Australian Driver's licence
