About Us
Speech Pathology at Monash Health covers the continuum and the life span. We have a large bed based department across six hospital sites; Monash Medical Centre, the Victorian Heart Hospital, Kingston Centre, Dandenong, Moorabbin and Casey hospitals and teams of speech pathologists in community health, community rehabilitation, clinics and mental health programs.
About the Role
We are seeking a Grade 2 Neurosciences Speech Pathologist to join our Acute Services team on a full-time, ongoing basis at Monash Medical Centre (MMC).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate speech pathologist who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.
The role also provides opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and be actively involved in clinical education.
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology;
- Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia;
- A team approach and ability to lead by example
- A flexible mindset and willingness to work in different areas as required
Key requirements:
- Demonstrated competency in videofluoroscopy and tracheostomy, as well as experience using COMPASS to assess Speech Pathology student skill attainment.
- Credentialing in the additional skill of emergency altered airway management – laryngectomy will be highly regarded.
