About the Role: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 2 Speech Pathologist to join Monash Health Aged Care Services on a part-time ongoing basis (0.90 EFT / 68.4 hours per fortnight).

 

You will be working across:
• Aged and Community Care Program (4 days per fortnight)
• Transition Care Program (TCP) and Residential Allied Health Service (5 days per fortnight)

 

In this role, you will deliver evidence-based, person-centred care to older adults across community, home, centre-based, and residential settings in Cranbourne, Pakenham, Dandenong, and Doveton.

Key responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred assessment and intervention for aged care clients
• Lead group programs (e.g. aphasia and communication groups)
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and evaluation
• Build strong internal and external partnerships
• Provide supervision and support to students and Allied Health Assistants

 

Monday to Friday, business hours (8:00am–4:30pm) - no weekends or shift work.

About You:

You’re a compassionate and organised clinician who enjoys working with older people and is committed to delivering respectful, culturally sensitive, person-centred care.

 

You will bring:

  • Interest in community and homebased practice
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality care

 

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Master), including SPAassessed overseas qualifications
  • Eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status
  • Minimum 4 years’ recent clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist
  • Current Aged Care Clearance, NDIS Worker Check, and NDIS orientation certificate
  • No current Aged Care Banning Orders
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Registration with the StateWide Equipment Program (desirable)
