About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Study Coordinator to join the South East Public Health Unit (SEPHU) and support the delivery of the ISAAC Trial- an investigator-initiated clinical trial focused on interventions to reduce group A Streptococcus carriage among household contacts of invasive disease cases. As Study Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing trial operations at site level.  This includes:

  • Supporting participants throughout the study
  • Managing data collection and entry into REDCap
  • Preparing and maintaining essential study documentation, ethics, and governance submissions
  • Monitoring study progress and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ethics approvals, and privacy legislation

You will work closely with the Principal Investigator, SEPHU staff, and the trials central management team to ensure successful delivery of study outcomes.

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in clinical trials or research coordination, ideally within a public health or clinical setting.  You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively with participants and research teams, and can work independently to manage multiple priorities. You will also demonstrate:

  • A relevant degree in Science, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience in clinical trials)
  • Knowledge of TGA/ICH/GCP guidelines, ethics, and governance processes
  • Strong skills in data collection and electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap)
  • Ability to conduct participant consent process with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
