About You
You’re an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with 5+ years in community mental health with a passion for leadership. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams, excel at crisis intervention, and are committed to recovery-oriented care. Your strengths include:
- Expertise in clinical supervision, risk assessment, and care coordination for complex cases.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive quality improvement, and mentor staff.
- Deep understanding of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act and community support networks (NDIS, family violence services, Aboriginal health).

Our Clayton Adult Mental Health Services deliver compassionate, evidence-based care through a multidisciplinary team of nurses, allied health professionals, and psychiatrists.
About the Role
Lead the Atherton Road Community Care Team, ensuring high-quality care for adults with mental health needs. Key responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee a team of 11 FTE case managers, providing supervision and reducing clinical caseloads during crises.
- Operational Management: Ensure compliance with NSQHS Standards, Monash Health values, and KPIs (e.g., 100% treatment plan completion).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with GPs, police, NDIS, and community agencies to coordinate seamless care transitions.
- Service Innovation: Drive continuous improvement in line with Monash Health’s Clinical Governance Framework.
Requirements
Essential:
- Nursing: AHPRA registration + Postgrad Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
- Allied Health: AASW accreditation (Social Work) or AHPRA registration (OT) + Bachelor’s/Master’s.
- 5+ years’ experience in mental health, including community settings.
- Leadership experience or qualifications (e.g., health administration).
- Compliance: Police check, Working with Children Check, immunisation clearance.
