About the Role
 
Reporting to the Acting Manager of Clinical Services the Team Leader for the SECASA Intake & Brief  Intervention Treatment Team, (iBIT) plays a pivotal role in managing the clinical operations of SECASA’s Intake Team and After-Hours service.
 
 
You will:
  • Oversee the flow of referrals, ensuring timely and high-quality responses.
  • Assess eligibility for therapeutic interventions and counselling for victim survivors and affected family members.
  • Evaluate suitability for services for children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviours and their families.
  • Embed robust risk assessment practices and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence in client care.
  • Coordinate and manage SECASA’s After-Hours service for seamless support outside standard hours.
 
As part of the leadership team, you will contribute to operationalising SECASA’s strategic direction, promote team resilience and growth, and collaborate across SECASA programs, Monash Health, and external stakeholders.
 
 
This position is open to full time and part time applications and will be based in Dandenong. It is open to Social Work and Psychology disciplines.

South East Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) is a specialist program of Monash Health, delivering critical services across Melbourne’s south-eastern metropolitan region, the Mornington Peninsula, and the Greater Dandenong, Cardinia and Casey areas.
 
SECASA provides comprehensive support to victim/survivors of sexual assault and family violence, their families and supporters, as well as specialist services for children and young people who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours. We are also committed to community education, professional training, and social planning initiatives that contribute to the prevention of violence and the promotion of safer communities.
 
Our multidisciplinary services are delivered across multiple locations including Dandenong, Cranbourne, Frankston, McCrae, Hastings, Pakenham and East Bentleigh, with a dedicated Crisis Care Unit based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
 
About You
 
We are seeking a dynamic leader with:
 
  • Extensive professional experience supporting victim survivors and families impacted by sexual assault, family violence, and harmful sexual behaviours.
  • Strong operational management skills, including team coordination and service delivery oversight.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed practice and collaborative leadership.
