We are seeking an experienced Customer Service & Admissions Team Leader to provide operational leadership and supervision across our busy admissions and main reception services at MMC Clayton, Moorabbin and Victoria Heart Hospitals.
About the role
The Customer Service & Admissions Team Leader (HS3) is a senior supervisory position responsible for:
- Leading and supporting Customer Service & Admissions teams across multiple sites
- Ensuring timely, accurate admissions, transfers and discharges using iPM and EMR systems
- Managing rosters, leave coverage and workforce allocation in line with EBA and budget requirements
- Acting as an escalation point for complex enquiries, operational issues and system challenges
- Supporting the Manager with service planning, quality improvement, reporting and staff development
- Providing relief for the Manager when required
You will oversee a medium‑sized workforce and play a key role in maintaining service excellence in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.
About you
You are a confident and capable leader with a strong customer service mindset and experience in healthcare or a similar high‑volume setting. You bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading clerical or admissions teams
- Strong knowledge of admissions processes and health information systems (iPM/EMR)
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Proven ability to manage rosters, competing priorities and operational demands
- A collaborative leadership style aligned with Monash Health values
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration, Customer Contact or equivalent experience
