About ELMHS 

ELMHS provides a range of mental health services to pregnant mothers, infants, children and adolescents and their families within the Southern Region.  

The organisational and clinical model has been developed to provide mental health care that is flexible and responsive to the individual and developmental needs of the perinatal to youth populations and their families.  As such, this model will support the provision of integrated mental health care for young people, guided by consistent, service-wide protocols and principles of care. 

 

About the Role 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a weekend ward clerk to join our team at Stepping Stones Adolescent Inpatient Unit, Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS). We are seeking a ward clerk with a strong focus on customer service and time management skills who is experienced and enjoys working within a ward team environment. This role will give you the opportunity to provide exceptional front line customer service to our clients and support the ward clinical team. You will work with teams of busy mental health professionals to provide clerical and administration support using a wide range of systems and databases, including registering and maintaining client information. 

We are currently seeking interest in a part-time ward clerks to work every Saturday and Sunday 8.30 – 5.00pm.

 

About You 

You are a genuinely passionate and caring person who is highly committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a clear communicator you can build rapport easily with others and work well within a team. You are a proactive, experienced healthcare administrator who can work effectively in an autonomous role, and prioritising workloads comes naturally to you.   

You have: 

  • Administrative experience (experience in a mental health setting is desirable) 

  • Friendly and helpful customer service and communication skills 

  • Proven organisational skills and can work autonomously 

  • Demonstrable ability to manage a range of administration responsibilities across a number of areas 

  • A quality focus whilst ensuring work is completed within the required timeframes 

  • Ability to travel to all Monash Health Sites 

  • Standards in thoroughness, accuracy and speed
