About the Department / Program  

Ward 33 is a busy 40 bed ward specialising in Upper Gastro-Intestinal surgery and Gastroenterology, located at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. 

About the Role  

Join our team as a Ward Clerk on a part-time, ongoing basis. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Nurse Manager, working with the broader nursing team.  

Role Requirements:

• Greeting patients and families 

• Organising patient admissions and discharges to ward 

• Computer systems such as iPM, EMR 

• Communicating with the broader health care team 

• Answering telephone calls. 

Roster/Hours

Week 1: 

• 1500-2030 Friday 

• 0800-1500 Saturday  

Week 2:

• 1500-2030 Friday  

• 1500-2030 Saturday 

• 1300-2030 Sunday  

About You 

To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:  

• Having previous ward clerk experience would be advantageous however, not essential - training will be provided.  

• Excellent communication skills and organisational skills required
