About Ophthalmology
Monash Health is seeking sessional consultant ophthalmologists who will join our team, an innovative and responsive ophthalmology unit.
Reporting to the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit, you will be responsible for clinical and surgical patient care, clinical support and education of colleagues, junior medical staff and orthoptists, participate in the on-call roster, and support the team in quality and safety matters relating to ophthalmology within Monash Health.
To be successful in this position you will be registered as a medical practitioner by the Medical Board of Australia and hold fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. You will have high level clinical skills and experience in all aspects of ophthalmology, especially patient care and teaching.
These sessional consultant positions include general and subspecialty clinical and surgical services, working with ophthalmology registrars. Preferred candidates will hold fellowship qualifications in the subspecialties of either glaucoma, uveitis or paediatric ophthalmology. The clinical load (clinical and surgical) allocation is at the sole discretion of the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit.

· Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
· Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
· Fellowship of the RANZCO
· Working with Children's Certificate
