About the Role: 
Join our team as a Podiatrist Grade 2 on a part-time (0.8EFT), ongoing basis. This role requires travel between sites and collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Sites may include the new state-of-the-art Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre (BBACC), Berwick, Cranbourne or Pakenham. As a Grade 2 Podiatrist within Aged and Community Care, you’ll play a critical role in delivering person-centred care that promotes independence, health, and wellbeing for older adults.

 

This dynamic role includes: 

·       Providing comprehensive assessment, evidence-informed intervention, and discharge planning for community-based clients 

·       Delivering podiatry care across a range of clinical areas including high-risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical pathologies, and general diagnostic care 

·       Working across community health centres and providing home-based services 

·       Supervising and mentoring Allied Health Assistants, students, and Grade 1 clinicians 

·       Participating in quality improvement, research, and clinical education 

·       Rotating across aged care settings including Residential Care, Transition Care Program, and other Monash Health sites as needed

About You: 
To ensure your success in this role, you will bring demonstrated clinical expertise in high-risk foot care, wound management, and aged care podiatry. You will have a strong understanding of gerontology and the impact of complex chronic conditions such as diabetes. You will have the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. With excellent communication skills with a person-centred approach to care, you will have confidence using digital health tools and electronic record systems. 

 

Mandatory Requirements: 

·       Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate in Podiatry (or equivalent) 

·       General AHPRA registration – Podiatry Board of Australia (unrestricted) 

·       First Aid / Basic Life Support certification 

·       Current Victorian Driver’s Licence 

·       Current and Satisfactory Aged Care Worker Clearance (Police Check/Aged Care Worker Screen) 

·       Current and Satisfactory NDIS workers screening check 

·       NDIS Worker Orientation certificate of completion 

·       Evidence of immunisation and fit-for-employment clearances 

·       No current Aged Care Banning Orders in place (as per Register of Banning Order) 

·       A relevant post-graduate or working towards (desirable) 

·       Research active (desirable)
