Administration Officer - Emergency Psychiatric Services (Full-Time, Permanent)

Monash Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administration Officer to support the Emergency Psychiatric Service (EPS) based at Monash Medical Centre (MMC), Clayton. EPS is a 24/7 acute mental health service located within the Emergency Department, Mental Health, and Alcohol and Other Drugs hub. While the clinical service operates in the Emergency Department, this administrative role is situated within the Clayton Mental Health Program. 

 

About the Role

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the EPS and broader Adult Mental Health Program. 

  • Ensure timely and professional service delivery aligned with Monash Health’s iCARE values and quality improvement frameworks. 

  • Perform accurate documentation and data entry in accordance with internal and regulatory reporting requirements. 

  • Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders. 

  • Utilize a range of software systems including IProc, IPM, CMI, EMR, SMR, Microsoft Word, and Excel. 

  • Prepare and submit monthly reports as requested by the Emergency Psychiatric Service Manager. 

  • Adapt to evolving service needs in line with Monash Health’s strategic direction. 

 

About You: 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. 

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in administrative tasks. 

  • Proficiency in relevant software systems (training provided if required). 

  • Commitment to Monash Health’s values and continuous improvement.
