About the Role - Administration Officer HS1 - Community Rehabilitation, Greater Dandenong

We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to work in a permanent full time role at our Community Rehabilitation Program in Dandenong. 

You will be working to support a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in a variety of speciality areas. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors over the phone and work in conjunction with our site administration team, no two days will be the same! On accepting this role, you will fast become an integral member of a cohesive team, working closely alongside our talented interdisciplinary team. We will offer you all the guidance, support and training you need to progress. You will work collaboratively with a fantastic group of people who are inclusive, passionate and share a vision to provide excellent, evidence-based care for our patients and their families.  

   

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

  • You are a proactive, experienced healthcare administrator who enjoys a fast paced environment and can work effectively working alongside a multidisciplinary team. Prioritising comes naturally to you and being in a hospital environment you exhibit integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.  

  • Excellent customer services skills and ability to remain calm and helpful in a challenging or dynamic, fast paced environment  

  • Able to support and take direction from the Team leader & Manager 

  • Enthusiasm, compassion & the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team  

  • Have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective rapport with patients, colleagues and clinicians. 

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage deadlines. 

  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook. 

  • Have a passion for and are able to learn new systems and processes quickly  

  • Assistance in stock management - ordering & re-stocking  

What you need:  

  • Experience in a similar role 

  • A clear Police Check (Fit2Work) conducted within the last 3 months. 

  • A current Employee Working with Children Check Card. 

  • Current drivers licence  

  • Monash Health policy requires evidence of immunisations, including 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. 

  • Evidence of a valid Visa allowing full working rights with no restrictions (if not an Australian citizen or permanent resident). 

  • Completing a Monash Health Fit Test, achieving an appropriate seal with an N95 mask or submitting evidence from a similar test completed at another organisation that meets Monash Health requirements. The option to book a Monash Health Fit Test will be available to successful candidates if required. 

  • Ability and flexibility to work across multiple Monash Health sites as required 

  • Applicants who are new to Monash Health will be required to enter into an Employment Agreement before commencement  

  • Monash Health is a smoke free environment and compliance is essential
