- First week Thursday and Friday 0700-1530
- Second week Wednesday-Friday 0700 -1530
About Dandenong Hospital and North 3
Dandenong Hospital is in the heart of the growth corridor in the south east of Melbourne. Monash Health leads the way in providing quality, patient-centred health care to meet the needs of our community. North 3 is a 28 bed ward providing a high acuity, fast paced, goal orientated specialising in Colorectal surgergy and gastroenterology nursing to adults from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds.
Our services include colorectal surgery, complex wound care, gastroenteroly patients, complex discharge planning and allied health.
About The Role and You
Are you a Clerical staff member wanting to work in a dynamic and supportive team; focused on delivering quality care? Displaying a positive mindset to deliver patient centred care, you are a person who is focused on seeking opportunities to improve the patient experience through your capability framework. You are a proactive, experienced health care administrator who enjoys a fast paced environment and can work effectively in an autonomous role. Prioritising comes naturally to you and being in a hospital environment you exhibit integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.
What you need:
-
Previous experience in a similar role is required
-
Certificate in Health Administration preferable but not necessary
-
Familiarity with Medical Terminology
-
Experience in working with Microsoft word, Excel Email iPM, PFM and EMR (electronic medical record)
-
Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills
-
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in timely manner
-
Respect for the ability to maintain and safeguard confidentiality.
-
Ability to manage self and prioritise tasks
-
Able to effectively communicate with staff patients and families
-
Knowledge in Medical Record administration
-
Knowledge of Patient Flow Manager functions (PFM)
