About Infant, Child, Family and Youth Area Mental Health Service 

Infant, Child, Family and Youth Mental Health Service provides a range of mental health services to infants, children, adolescents, youth and their families within the Southern Region.  

The organisational and clinical model has been developed to provide mental health care that is flexible and responsive to the individual and developmental needs of the infant to youth populations and their families. As such, this model will support the provision of integrated mental health care for young people, guided by consistent, service-wide protocols and principles of care.  

 

About the Role  

We are seeking a motivated and professional administration officer to join the Infant, Child, Family and Youth Area Mental Health Service team located at our Dandenong Community site. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital public health service by delivering high-quality administrative support to the Access and Intake, Assessment, Consultation and brief Treatment (iACT) Team. In this role, you will:  

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff & other stakeholders.  

  • Support the service’s information management functions, including accurate data entry and health information management. 

  • Assist with operational and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the service.  

  

About You  

You are a compassionate and reliable professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment. You demonstrate integrity, accountability, and respect in all interactions and are committed to delivering person-centred service. To be successful in this role, you will have:  

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an reception /administrative role (experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is desirable).  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.  

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.  

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.  

  • Proficiency in using administrative systems and databases.  

  • Willingness and ability to travel across Monash Health sites as required.
