About the Role
Join our team as a Ward Clerk on a Part Time - Fixed Term basis (Monday to Thursday rotating roster. Shifts 0700 - 1530), working at the Children's Ward in Dandenong.
About Us
Dandenong Children’s Ward is an 8 bedded unit that supports the care of patients from birth to 19 years care for patients under specialities Orthopaedics, Plastics and Medical. We work in an area that has a mixed socioeconomic and culturally diverse population and we are exposed to a broad range of clinical presentations
This role's focus will be on being the welcoming face of the Children's ward. The administrative officer will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients who attend the Children's ward, greeting paeditaric patients and their faimlies. This will involve coordinating interpreting services and follow up medical certificate and discharge summaries. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised to ensure patient enquiries are referred to the appropriate Monash Health service.
About You
Health care administration is fast paced, our Administration Officers are an integral part of the team. You are a proactive, experienced health care administrator who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can work effectively in an autonomous role.
