Our Journey

Our Recovery and Prevention of Psychosis (RAPP) team and Youth Consultation and Treatment Team (YCTT) work with young people and their families at the pointy end of clinical services. The roles in these very successful, vibrant and specialist team are very sought after. This team operates from our community based clinic, which is located close to the award-winning Dandenong Hospital’s ART Building in the vibrant City of Dandenong. A great location if you live in South-Eastern and Bayside suburbs, Frankston and Mornington Peninsula or Gippsland, with excellent connections to Monash Freeway, East Link, Princess Hwy and public transport.       

 

About the Role

The Administrative Officer is a key role within Dandenong Community Mental Health Program (Youth) providing efficient and effective administration/clerical support to the manager/coordinator and clinical staff. This role is based at the Community Service Building, Cleeland St Dandenong. It is a fast paced, demanding and rewarding role and will require the incumbent to demonstrate a variety of clerical skills and abilities: 

  • Answer and assist visitors and incoming callers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times, and work collaboratively with Administration Officers across the Mental Health program 

  • Provide effective and timely administrative support to the YCTT and RAPPT managers and clinicians as appropriate 

  • An understanding of, and compliance with, the need for strict confidentiality concerning any consumer, family/carer, or staff details 

  • Excellent customer relation abilities and the ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations in a professional manner 

  • An ability to work independently and contribute to positive and collaborative relationships within the YCTT and RAPPT  

  • Timely and accurate entry of patient information, data entry and other health information
