We are seeking a passionate and experienced Associate Midwife Manager (AMM) to join our dedicated leadership team and help drive high-quality, woman-centred care within a thriving and culturally diverse community.

About the Role

 

As an Associate Midwife Manager, you will:

 

  • Support the Midwife Manager in operational leadership and workforce coordination
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight across maternity services
  • Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Lead, coach and develop midwives to reach their full potential
  • Contribute to service planning, change management and performance outcomes

 

You will be a visible, supportive leader who promotes accountability, collaboration, and a culture where both staff and patients thrive.

 

This is a fixed term part time opportunity to replace Maternity leave within the role - with leave up until March 2027

Dandenong Hospital is a major metropolitan facility delivering thousands of births annually within a diverse and vibrant community. The maternity service provides comprehensive antenatal, birthing and postnatal care, supported by strong multidisciplinary partnerships.

About You

 

You are an experienced Registered Midwife with a passion for leadership and service excellence. You bring emotional intelligence, strong clinical credibility, and the ability to inspire and influence others.

You will also have:

 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
  • Significant clinical experience in maternity services
  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to culturally safe, woman-centred care
  • The ability to foster a positive, accountable team culture
