About the Role:

 

Join our team as an Associate Midwife Manager on a fulltime – ongoing basis to experience Leadership within the services at Dandenong. Part time job share may also be considered for the right candidates

 

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maternity services, leading clinical activities, and enhancing patient care outcomes. This role provides the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to high-quality, compassionate care for women.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Midwife Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department ensuring a positive and efficient environment for both staff and patients.
  • Support staff with escalating care as required, ensuring timely follow-up and facilitating smooth care pathways for patients.
  • Facilitate the care of high-risk patients by ensuring proper coordination of care and maintaining effective communication with the broader healthcare team.
  • Contribute to service improvements through involvement in various projects and initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior midwifery staff, offering advice and practical guidance to foster development.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and patients.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
